Multi-accounting: How to Work With Proxies and Anti-detect Browsers

A guide to safely running multiple accounts: picking proxies per platform, pairing with an anti-detect browser, common pitfalls.

    What multi-accounting is

Multi-accounting is running several accounts on one platform from a single device. For the platform every account must look like a separate user with a unique environment: IP, browser fingerprint, cookies, timezone, language.

Without proxies all your accounts will come from the same IP — the platform will catch this almost instantly.

Rule #1 — one account, one proxy

Never share a proxy across accounts. If the platform bans one, others can be flagged through the IP link. Exception — static proxies with guaranteed "personal" ownership.

    Proxy requirements for multi-accounting

    1. Stickiness — the IP must not rotate between sessions
    2. Cleanliness — IP free of bot/spam history (check Scamalytics, IPQualityScore)
    3. Right type — SOCKS5 for most, residential for social and finance, mobile for hardcore
    4. Correct geo — IP in the same city/region as the account's "legend"
    5. Stable ping — latency spikes look suspicious

    Pair with an anti-detect browser

Proxies are only half the job. The other half is an anti-detect browser (Octo, Dolphin, Multilogin, AdsPower). It masks:

    • Canvas and WebGL fingerprint
    • Font fingerprint
    • Resolution and DPI
    • Timezone and language (must match proxy geo!)
    • WebRTC — must be disabled, otherwise your real IP leaks
    • User-Agent and client headers

Critical: timezone, browser language and IP geo must align. A proxy in Warsaw + Russian UI + Moscow timezone = instant ban.

    Popular platforms

    • Telegram: MTProto or SOCKS5, one proxy per account, UDP support helps
    • Instagram / TikTok: residential/mobile only, datacenter is blocked
    • Facebook: residential mandatory, warm accounts on one IP for at least two weeks
    • eBay / marketplaces: residential, gradual account warm-up
    • Google (Ads, Gmail): residential + an established cookie profile

    Common mistakes

    • Rotating the proxy per login — the platform sees IP jumps
    • Using public free proxies — already blacklisted everywhere
    • Not forcing DNS through the proxy — DNS leaks your real ISP
    • Sharing one cookie profile across accounts

    Bottom line

Safe multi-accounting = right proxy + anti-detect + discipline. FoxyProxyShop ships SOCKS5 and HTTP proxies with manual IP vetting — suitable for most everyday scenarios. For Instagram/Facebook we recommend residential channels.
